
Postgraduate Instrumental Studies is an educational program of the Instrumental Department of the Academy of Art in Szczecin (Poland), addressed to all those who want to improve their performance skills, deepen their general musical knowledge and develop the sphere of musical sensitivity. It is suitable especially for those young adepts of musical performance art who, after completing their full-time studies, are at the beginning of their professional artistic career. Through the specificity of selected subjects and the involvement of our experienced and highly regarded educators in the music community, course participants can gain new skills as instrumental musicians not only in the aspect of solo playing but above all as chamber musicians or orchestra members.
POSTGRADUATE STUDIES IN PIANO PLAYING
The course's curriculum includes 150 hours of instruction, lectures on subjects such as main instrument - piano, piano accompaniment practice, chamber music, and piano literature.
The lecturers of the subjects are experienced pedagogues-artists of the Academy of Art in Szczecin: piano professor - Dr. .................................. .
Such subjects as piano accompaniment practice, chamber music, and piano literature are perfect for a deeper and broader knowledge of the repertoire of piano music, and thus to learn the secrets of performance so different from solo playing.
The duration of the course is two years-four semesters and the classes take place both in Poland, in the facilities of the Academy of Art in Szczecin, and in South Korea, in the cooperating institution, which is the vanB Korea Artistic Association. In addition, the vanB Korea Artistic Association is responsible for the organizational and financial aspects of the study program for international students. In close cooperation with the Academy of Art and implementing the original curriculum approved by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Poland, vanB Korea controls the course of learning and ensures its high organizational and substantive level.
The course program provides education at the 7th partial level of the Polish and European Qualifications Frameworks.
The conditions for participation in the study are completion of higher music studies and possession of a bachelor's or master's degree in piano performance from an university-level music school.
POSTGRADUATE STUDIES IN ORCHESTRA INSTRUMENTS
The course's curriculum includes 380 hours of instruction, lectures, and rehearsals on subjects such as principal instruments, orchestral studies, orchestral excerpts, chamber music, orchestral literature, and styles and trends in music. Listeners have an obligation to actively participate in orchestra rehearsals, whether professional or academic.
Such subjects as chamber music, orchestral excerpts, and orchestra are perfect for a deeper and broader knowledge of the repertoire of symphonic and chamber music, and thus to learn the secrets of performance so different from solo playing.
The lecturers of the subjects are experienced pedagogues-artists of the Academy of Art in Szczecin: violin professor at UDK (Universitat der Kunste) in Berlin, longtime concertmaster of the Berlin Opera - Dr. Tomasz Tomaszewski, Dr. Hab. Tomasz Szczęsny Professor AS - cello concertmaster and leader of the cello section at the Szczecin Philharmonic Orchestra and a composer and music theorist - Dr. Piotr Gryska.
